Project P.L.A.Y. Park in Palatk
a recently unveiled exciting upgrades at a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Rotary Club of Palatka, in collaboration with Clay Electric and Putnam County.
Thanks to a generous $37,000 grant, the park now boasts essential equipment shading and cozy shaded sitting areas, perfect for family gatherings. These innovative sunshades are a game-changer for our climate, blocking up to 97% of harmful UV rays and cooling playground temperatures by up to 30 degrees. This means a safer, more comfortable environment for children to play and adults to relax.
But that’s not all! This project is just the beginning. The Rotary Club has big plans for further enhancements to make the park even better for the community.
