Minutarian Week 41: April 10, 2023

Whether you are continuing to celebrate Ramadan, enjoying the start of Passover or celebrating Easter with your family, we hope that it was a safe and happy week. For our part, we had a special visit from our 15-year-old niece Ella Gitzke from Wisconsin and yes, as a 15-year-old, she now towers over both of us.

April is Maternal and Child Health month. If your club is completing a special project, please share it with the District.

As we recruit new members, many of us continue to encounter the myths about Rotary. It is up to you to set the record straight and not be bound by what Rotary used to be.

As clubs begin to get their teams ready to take on new roles in 2023/24, Zone 34 has put together 3 Bootcamps Zoom Webinars (each at 6pm): Public Image—April 24; Membership—May 1; Foundation—May 11.

Over the last two weeks, the Rotary Club of Bartram Trail-Julington Creek shared several articles that had been published in their local newspaper, the CreekLine. What is your club doing to get recognized in your community? The best way to recruit and retain members is to make sure that your community knows what you do.

Are you looking for ways to celebrate Rotary in your community and beyond? Are you looking for ways to learn more about Rotary and help your club to operate more effectively, either as an officer, a new member or are you someone who just wants to find new opportunities to serve? We have the solution: our District Training Assembly beginning at 11:30am on Friday May 12, which will focus on tools for officer and club effectiveness, followed by our District Conference beginning with our opening dinner on Friday night May 12. continuing through 5pm on Saturday May 13. Details of the weekend’s events, topics and speaker bios as well as pricing (including ala carte) can all be found on the District 6970 website. Remember, prices go up on April 20, 2023.
