Minutarian Week 42: April 19, 2022

To all my Rotary Peeps.  Happy Easter!

You’ve been Served!

Each week I see all the wonderful projects that are being done throughout the District. Let’s show the rest of Rotary all that we do in 6070. Please take a moment to participate.

The Zones 33-34 You’ve Been Served Event will be from February 23rd to April 23rd.

This event is designed to be a collaborative event that brings together clubs, Rotaractors, Interactors, and Rotarians to demonstrate Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self by performing random acts of kindness and good deeds in their local communities. What an appropriate moment in time to serve others with kindness!

10 Million Meal Challenge

Ever wondered how many meals we provide for the people of District 6970 and around the world? Me too!

Please join me in reporting how many meals your club has served over the Rotary year. This can be through food drives, food distributions, meal packing, meals for heroes, backpack programs or any other way that your club has provided meals to others over the past year.

With over 1700 clubs in our two Zones, we have the capability to help curb hunger in our communities. Our talent is SERVICE, our passion is DOING GOOD, our power is in our ability to combine our energy to attain a COMMON GOAL. This initiative gives us a great avenue to do all these things.

A very important aspect of this project is that we report what we are doing through RI. This can be done at the following link: www.rizones33-34.org/feed10million-initiative/   Here you will have an opportunity to not only enter the information on how many meals you provided but can also post pictures of your club doing projects that involve feeding others.

2022 Public Image Boot Camp

Sign up today for Rotary Public Image Boot Camp on Monday, April 25th at 6:00 p.m.
In this presentation, you will learn that with a little planning and prep work, plus with the support of your Zone 34 Public Image Coordinator Team, it is very easy to tell your Rotary Club’s story.

Pic of the Week:

40 Years! I had an opportunity to join PDG Jeanette Loftus and DGE Jeff Michelman to celebrate with President Darleen Morgan and the rest of the fantastic Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Gainesville Sunrise this past week. They are celebrating 40 years of being an awesome Rotary Club. The most amazing part of the celebration was that they presented “50” Paul Harris Fellows. That’s right! “50” is apparently the new 40. Love it!

Service Above Self,
