Minutarian Week 39: March 28, 2022

What a beautiful weekend it was! This is why we live in Northeast Florida, the best place on earth.

As many of you know, we are currently working on Ukrainian Relief efforts with a fellow Rotarian from right here in our district. James Joeriman grew up in Clay County and is currently the President of the Rotary Club of Lviv, Ukraine.

He is working with the Rotary Club of Warsaw to coordinate efforts within Ukraine. Their focus is on re-supplying hospitals in Ukraine, whose supplies have been depleted by treating survivors of the violence in the region. We have been raising funds through our York Foundation to support their efforts and just last week, we wired a little under $11,000 to assist them with procuring the desperately needed medical supplies.

On Thursday of last week, James joined the Rotary club of Orange Park Sunrise to give an update on what was being done and why the need is so great. Please see the link below to watch the recording.

Pic (s) of the Week:

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to “Take The Plunge” to benefit the Special Olympics. I was joined by Rotarians from several clubs, including the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach as well as the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra. We were cheered on by Jaxson Deville but I should note, he did not take the plunge…
