Minutarian Week 43: April 25, 2022

Join with Rotary this week to promote the power of vaccines!

World Immunization Week is an opportunity to raise awareness about the effectiveness of vaccines and mobilize people’s support for immunization.

You can support Rotary’s efforts by:
Downloading the World Immunization Week Toolkit for graphics and sample social media posts you can use to promote polio eradication and the importance of vaccines for all. Use hashtags #EndPolio and #VaccinesWork.
Watching and sharing this video about the different ways children receive polio immunizations.
Showing your commitment to ending polio by making a contribution to PolioPlus.
In today’s interconnected world, every vaccine counts. Let’s take action together to ensure that the polio vaccine reaches every child and keeps communities safe from disease.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to attend TODAY!

Big Shout out to The Rotary Club of Fernandina Beach!

I received word this week that the Rotary Club of Fernandina Beach has become a gold-level sponsor for Shelter Box. Shelter Box provides emergency shelter for persons displaced in a disaster. They are one of only 60 clubs in the world that are at that level. Way to go Fernandina Beach!

Pic(s) of the Week:

Not even a Rotary event, but like most great events in most communities across our district, it is a worthy cause. There are sure to be Rotarians serving there. The Celtic Festival was not an exception this weekend in Ormond Beach. It’s an Ormond Main Street Event, but I saw Rotarians from many clubs there both volunteering their time and participating in the fun!
